Coffee Origin: Hambela Wamena, Guji, Ethiopia
A pristine Washed Grade 1 special prep from the Bishan Wate Washing Station, defined by its clarity, layered fruit complexity, and intense floral perfume.
The Producer: Bishan Wate Washing Station
Named for the Wate river running alongside it, Bishan Wate is one of the washing stations owned and managed by Testi Coffee, a family business founded by Faysel A. Yonis. Around 50 smallholder farmers deliver cherry to the station from surrounding land reaching elevations up to 2,350 masl. With this special preparation, cherries are collected from a limited number of smallholders and receive extra sorting at the mill, resulting in a small, exceptionally clean and complex lot.
Why Choose This Ethiopian Coffee?
A vibrant, fruit-forward cup that balances rich cooked blueberry with jasmine tea perfume and a crisp green apple lift — ideal for those who enjoy bold, sparkling, and aromatically complex specialty coffees.
Brewing Recommendations
To best capture the cooked blueberry sweetness and sparkling acidity, we recommend brewing via Pour-over or Chemex. It also shines as a clean, expressive filter brew
